G5 - Sentiero Geologico Rocca di Sciara
The Rock of Sciara and its surroundings, geologically represent a nearly full series of lithologies of the basin of the Imerese Domain area. It is constituted by rocks more than 200 to about 24 millions years old. The Rock, tectonically delimited, has the shape of a ridge of 300 meters that overhangs the inhabited area. The trail collects these wonderful geological records set in a natural landscape of rare beauty.
