At about 1,5 km from Aliminusa towards Cerda, going north, an ancient sandstone paved mule track with walkable sandstone splits from the main road, and leads inside the woods named "Bosco del Cardellino", past the Scacciavalloni Pass and up to a natural path.

The dense vegetation is the home of numerous animal species, whose traces are visible (footsteps, porcupine quills, plumes).
If you are lucky enough and you respect the silence of the area, probably you can view the small long-tailed tit of the Sicily, the bird symbol of the Natural Reserve of the "Bosco della Favara e della Granza".
The paths inside the "Bosco del Cardellino" merge with the paved road without having to go back through the same trail.
