From Gorgonero pond, the path leads into the trail that climbs through a difficult dirt road inside a thick forest of chestnut trees, pines and hollies.
Initially you'll get to a small haven, then to a watering place nearby the Pizzo Catarineci ring.
The trail continues through Vallone Scopalacqua, where you can take a break to drink the water to taste the freshness of the high altitude water.
The trail climbs up it reaches a watering place, near Cozzo Raimonda, and continuing along the same trail you get to Piano Catarineci, a magnificent green plain stretching from Cozzo Ipsi to Pizzo Catarineci, where you can often enjoy the enchanting sight of wild horses.
