Trekking lover will appreciate this challenging footpath, to be taken only in case of perfect visibility conditions, passing through an area of great geological interest, landscapes and nature and transiting continuously near sinkholes and the high forest of beeches from Nature Reserve "Faggeta Madonia".
Bypassing the west side of Pizzo Carbonara you reach the beautiful mountain meadows of Piano Catagidebbe: here, among the most representative plant species, there are significant populations of Ginestra di Cupani (gorses) embellishing the landscape with their thick golden pillows.

The trail then winds through the lush northern slope of Cozzo Luminario (1,512 meter above sea level) and moving along the karst valley Intera, dotted here and there with solitary beeches, until you reach the sight of the cross "Croce dei Monticelli".
