The Piraino collection (1700-1959) is the result of many years efforts to uncover the past through clothing finds, wrongly considered frivolous and ephemeral. The exhibit, composed of more than three thousand objects, includes gala dresses, street clothes, business clothing (both for male and female), infant, military and ecclesiastical clothing, accessories and fashion curiosities. The collection includes also full wedding outfits and folk costumes of Mediterranean countries.
