The picnic area, opened to the public only on 1 June 2010, can be reached following these instructions: after traveling 2 km on the street between Petralia Sottana and Petralia Soprana turn left following the direction to E.N.E. in Fontana Bianca, then reach Portella Ferrone. Next to a Crucifix can be seen the State Forestry Corps gate through which you can get into the area. Entrance is free.
