The Lake Rosamarina, known also as Dam or Caccamo lake, is one of the biggest in Sicily and thanks to the clarity of its water allows the sight fishing about 800 meters from the dam, where the big predators are. For example, some impressive fish have been caught here, such ass a Black Bass of 3,5 kg weight. For people who are not familiar with spinning fishing, the lake also offers a wide quantity of carps, tenchs and bleaks.
Other sports activities presents are Sailing, Wind Surf, Canoeing, Hippotherapy, Horseback Excursion and Mountain Bike.
Under the lake water can be found the bridge on the previous San Leonardo river, known as Ponte Chiaramontano, built by the will of Manfredi I of Chiaramonte who became lord of Caccamo in 1300. The simple medieval humpback bridge with a single arcade merge with the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape with its low vegetation and rocky outcrops. A stone, nowadays lost, gave precise information on the bridge birth: construction year 1307, promoter Manfredi I Chiaramonte, ruler Frederik II with a dedication to the Blessed Virgin.
