The Former Convent of Reformed Friar Minors, nowadays used as a Palermo University seat or as wedding location during summer, was realised in the 17th century and rises in the highest part of town, overlooking the surrounding valley and pinewood. During the 19th century the monastery became municipality heritage and was used for decades as medieval barracks.

Nowadays the cells can be used for overnight and the two auditoriums and the cloister are used for events organization.
