The route begins in the district Pomieri, immediately after the end of the trail "sentiero dei monumenti della Natura", continues to the Case di Passo Canale and climbs to trail 557 through Piano Iola and along the slopes of Mount Daino on the right. Reached Piano Iola, the route crosses trial 557 that brings you to Mount Scalone from which you can appreciate a panoramic view of the entire Valley "Vallone di Madonna degli Angeli" in the north and the Sanctuary "Santuario di Madonna dell'Alto" and Mount Cavallo in the east. From this point you can continue on the trail Nature 2 degli Abies nebrodensis or go back down the same path you have already taken, reaching Pomieri again.
