From this point you can enjoy once again the view of the Panormide Tectonics Units, particularly its lower part, consisting of calcilutites, grey yellow marls of the Upper Triassic age (Mufara Formation dating back 220 million years) that overlie the Numidian Flysch shales aged at least 24 million years. The Mufara Formation "type locality" was instituted near here, where the rock successions were first studied and described.
