St. Peter and Paul church is the Mother Church of Petralia Soprana. The Mother Church is probably very ancient, although its present shape has been renewed during XIV and XVIII century. It is a three-aisled basilica, with the old bell tower alongside and the an incomplete bell tower built on XVII century. Inside the church are preserved two statues of Virgin Mary, the Madonna of the Hearing and the Madonna of the Chain. Besides these can also be seen a crucifix made by brother Umile Pitorno.
