The Church of San Mauro was built upon request and initiative of the inhabitants at the beginning of 1600, on a site where there already were three different churches (S. Vito, S. Giovanni Evangelista and S. Mauro). Inside, the "Vara" of the saint patron. (Vara is a Sicilian word meaning the triumphal cart used to bring statues during the procession)
