From about fifteen years the M.A.M (Madonie Environmental Museum) promotes ecological knowledge in Madonie Park territory. The museum is located in a 16th-century building and hosts more than 400 Sicilian and Madonie, in particular, fauna specimens, some of which, coming mostly from ancient collections, are very rare or extinct. The exhibits are arranged in faithful natural environments reconstructions and diversified in various rooms, ranging from the sea and coastal wetlands to hills and woods, and lastly to the high mountains, eagles and vultures kingdom. The museum hosts several conferences, conventions and exhibitions on nature and any other "material" (scientific, photographic, pictorial) concerning the territory. The stuffed animal exhibited here died a natural death or because of poaching.
